The scope of work comprised a full machine refurbishment & CNC retrofit of this Binns & Berry Data 90 CNC Lathe.

The machine refurbishment included replacement of the Machine Slides with new, thru hardened, Ways; fitting of new Axis Drive Ballscrews; refurbishment of the Headstock including new precision, Gamet, Spindle Bearings; refurbishment of the Tailstock, including chroming & grinding of the Quill; supply and fitting of a new Baruffaldi Auto-Indexing Turret; refurbishment of the Swarf Conveyor; replacement of all machine hydraulics, lubrication & coolant systems; fitting of a complete new Guarding System to meet with PUWER Compliance.

The CNC retrofit comprised fitting of a new Fanuc 0i-TF Control, new Fanuc AC Spindle Motor and Drive, new Fanuc Digital Servo Motors & Drives and a complete new Electrical Interface, including all new control gear; in addition, the machine has been completely re-wired.
