The project comprised a full Fanuc Retrofit of a Webster & Bennett S type Vertical Borer.

Mechanically, the machine was in quite good condition, therefore, the majority of the remedial mechanical work related to the refurbishment of Ballscrews, Gearboxes and Hydraulics.

Electrically, the machine has been retrofitted with a new Fanuc 0i-TD Control, a new Siemens DC Table Drive, new Fanuc Digital Axis Servo Motors & Drives (X and Z), a new Electrical Cabinet, complete with all new control gear, and a complete machine re-wire.

In addition to the above, EES has also designed, manufactured and fitted a complete new 12 Station Automatic Toolchanger to the machine
